A little more about me

Curious by nature.
Collaborative by choice.

I've worked in technology for decades. The most interesting part has always been the people.

The thread through my career

I help people find a way forward together.

Early in my career, I described myself as someone who helped people use technology to improve business. Over time, I realized the work meant more to me than that.

Today I say I help people and technology work together to improve lives.

I've led IT organizations, worked with enterprise delivery teams, helped people explore new technology, and designed workshops for groups facing difficult decisions. The titles changed. The common thread didn't.

I like finding the question that helps people see a problem differently. I love watching a group move from uncertainty to shared understanding. And I believe a good idea becomes valuable when people can work together to make it real.

That's what I mean by making the complicated collaborative.

What I believe

A few principles I come back to.

Questions before answers.

Understanding the real problem is often more valuable than rushing toward the first solution.

People before process.

Frameworks should help people work together, not become the work itself.

Clarity without oversimplifying.

Complex challenges deserve thoughtful explanations that people can actually use.

Progress with ownership.

Change lasts longer when people help shape it and understand why it matters.

Beyond work

The work of building community matters, too.

I'm involved with Christmas for Kids, a cause close to my family, and I serve in volunteer leadership through Foundation Community Church. These experiences keep me grounded in why I value bringing people together: not simply to complete projects, but to make a difference in people's lives.

I also help cultivate the facilitation community through Facilitation Lab Cincinnati, where people can practice the craft of collaboration together.
